Bath Community Hospital is a patient-focused small hospital in rural Virginia that offers excellent working conditions, a team environment, and opportunities for professional development. BCH is looking for a well-qualified Dietary Manager to run our Bistro! The Dietary Manager will oversee the day to day functions of the Bistro, provide nutritionally approved meals to inpatients and outpatients, and also serves breakfast and lunch to BCH staff Monday-Friday.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides direction to Dietary staff in managing their own work
- With the guidance of the Dietitian provide nutritionally approved meals to inpatients and outpatients
- Ensures that food, supplies, and equipment are purchased from approved vendors, received in good condition, and stored under proper temperatures
- Maintains dietary expenses within budgeted limits. Keeps on-going records of department expenditures and provides financial records and cost reports to Accounting
- Follows HACCP and Serv Safe Guidelines
REQUIREMENTS
- Certified Dietary Manager-CDM (required but can be obtained upon hire)
- Serv Safe Certified (required)
- 3 years supervisory experience in kitchen (required, 5 years preferred)
