Bio

Brian Elmore, MD, earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed residency training in Emergency Medicine in El Paso, Texas. He is currently pursuing a fellowship in Global Emergency Medicine at the University of Virginia, along with a Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University.

Prior to entering medicine, Dr. Elmore served in the Peace Corps in rural Sierra Leone and Zambia. While living in El Paso, he founded a clinic system providing care for migrants in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. His writing has appeared in national and international publications, including The Atlantic, CNN, and Texas Observer.

Outside of work, Dr. Elmore enjoys trail running, hiking, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
