Details:
Accountable for conversion of diagnoses and treatment procedures into codes using an international classification of diseases. Requires skills in the sequencing of diagnoses/procedures to allow for proper reimbursement. Ensures that records are coded in a timely and accurate manner.

Details:
• Demonstrates knowledge in all areas of care specific to the Ambulatory Surgery, Endoscopy, moderate sedation, and central sterile processing.
• Demonstrates ability to perform a head-to-toe preoperative assessment on all patients and reassesses as needed postoperatively. This includes geriatric and the general patient population.
• Demonstrates ability to formulate an individualized plan of care as indicated and evaluates for effectiveness including psychosocial needs of patients and family.
• Formulates a teaching plan based on identified patient learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning; family is included in teaching as appropriate, from pre-op to discharge. Provides patient with explanation and verbal reassurance consistently.

Details:
• Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs.
• Prepares medications and supplies for dispensing, by repackaging, labeling, compounding, handling and storing pharmaceuticals, maintaining accurate records when required
• Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions; preparing labels; calculating quantities; assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
• Assist in the control and audit narcotics/stock substance. Documents controlled substance dispensing records from pharmacy, keeping a continuous audit of inventory.
• Demonstrates ability to compound with proper aseptic technique preparations for IV administration. Maintains proper records required for compounding. Completes annual competency review successfully.
• Maintains a working knowledge of aspects of pharmacy services relative to a pharmacy technician’s job description:
o Medical terminology and abbreviations
o Drug names and classifications
o Medication order and prescription interpretation
o Preparation procedures for non-sterile dosage forms

Details:
• Inpatient-Assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment
• Emergency Department-Assist nurses and physicians with providing care to acutely ill patients
• Register patients and collect copays
• Collect samples for lab analysis, gather patient information, monitoring EKGs and heart rhythm, treat wounds and assist doctors and nurses during procedures

RHC-Front Office-Scheduler/Medical Assistant (Hot Springs)
Part Time <30 hrs/wk

Details:

• Schedules appointments
• Preregisters patients for scheduled admissions and outpatient procedures
• Obtains authorization and verifies insurance eligibility
• Ensures information is placed into electronic health record correctly and orderly
• Communicates appropriately and clearly with patients, supervisors, managers, co-workers and physicians
• Collects copayment(s) and account balances at time of service. Refers patient to financial counselor when financial arrangements need to be made
• Greets patient and obtains height, weight, and vital signs, then escorts them to an exam room. Properly prepares the patient for the examination.
• Records details of chief complaint, review of systems, past medical history, social history, family medical history, disease risk factors.
• Obtains or updates list of medications and allergies including the reaction.
• If orders are not completed in a timely fashion or if results are incomplete, troubleshoots for causes and solutions.

Details:

The ALS Provider is responsible for the safe transportation of non-ambulatory patients to and from medical facilities. It is the responsibility of the ALS Provider to see that pick-ups and drop-offs are made in a proper, courteous and timely manner. The ALS Provider may be involved in all types of medical transportation.
