Hot Springs, VA – Bath Community Hospital will offer ketamine infusions, a highly effective treatment for those suffering from treatment-resistant depression.

Ketamine infusion therapy is most helpful for those who have tried at least two traditional anti-depressants (tricyclics, SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs) without adequate improvement or undesirable side effects. Studies show that Ketamine may help with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD), Postpartum Depression, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Severe Anxiety. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Fibromyalgia, Severe Migraines, Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome, and Chronic Neuropathic Pain may also benefit from treatment.

“Having used Ketamine for the primary purpose of an anesthetic adjuvant, I always marvel at the effects after surgery; a smiling patient, improved pain scores, and a better mood,” says Eduard Nemirovsky, MD, an anesthesiologist at Bath Community Hospital. “Recent studies prove that it is not my imagination. Ketamine helped treat mental health conditions and other disorders”. Dr. Nemirovsky has over 30 years of experience with Ketamine and looks forward to operating the new clinic.

The new clinic, adequately named, Re-Treat, is committed to offering the best possible treatment available for relief.

“We are delighted to extend this life-changing therapy to patients who have exhausted most conventional treatment options,” says Bath Community Hospital, CEO, Jeff Lingerfelt. “It is a step forward in bettering the quality of life for those in need. Bath Community Hospital remains focused on stopping the stigma surrounding mental health that affects an estimated 25% of Americans ages 18 and older – one (1) in four (4) adults”.
