Bio
Susan completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and then her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling at Liberty University. Susan has worked in the community mental health setting for 20 years providing mental health skills building, individual and group therapy, and crisis intervention. Susan works with individuals with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, anger management, relationship issues, and substance use disorders and co-occurring. Susan utilizes a variety of techniques and skills drawn from recognized therapeutic modalities including but not limited to Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness and relaxation techniques. Susan believes in the importance of working in partnership with individuals to utilize their strengths to help them work through their challenges and achieve their goals.In Susan’s free time, she enjoys kayaking, camping, and taking her son fishing.
