Lori Hicks

Director of Community Impact and Population Health

Bio

Lori Hicks, a proud native of Alleghany County, has called Bath County home since 1999. She completed her hospitality management courses at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College, now known as Mountain Gateway Community College, and enjoyed a successful career in conference sales within the resort industry for over 20 years.

During the pandemic, Lori was furloughed and chose to transition from hospitality to a role at Bath Community Hospital, recognizing the strong parallels between the two fields and their shared mission of enhancing the health and wellness of the community she cherishes.

Lori actively contributes to her community by serving on the Rockbridge Area Community Services Board and the John Dufour Memorial Scholarship Foundation. She also leads the Bath Highland Community Health and Wellness Coalition in collaboration with the Central Shenandoah Health District of the Virginia Department of Health. Additionally, she is involved with Live Well Alleghany Highlands, a collaborative initiative supported by community stakeholders and the Alleghany Health District of the Virginia Department of Health.
