HOT SPRINGS, VA- Bath Community Hospital is excited to announce a new volunteer program that will offer individuals a variety of experiences from administrative work to assisting in various departments throughout the facility.
Pat Foutz, Executive Director of Clinical Support Services and Program Development, said it’s a win, win for the hospital and the community. “BCH volunteers will donate their time and talents to make a difference in our community while helping us enhance our patient’s experience.”
Volunteers will be screened just like hospital employees. They will be required to attend a facility orientation, wear a name tag and vest while on duty and commitment to the hours they have agreed to work. Qualified applicants can start immediately and applications will be accepted throughout the year. For now, interested individuals must be 18 years of age to apply but the hospital plans to expand the program in the future to students who are interested in pursuing a career in the medical field.
An information session is scheduled for July 6th at 3:00pm. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend to learn more about this opportunity and asked to bring a friend as well. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, contact Pat Foutz at 540-839-7055 or at firstname.lastname@example.org .
